A traditional Southwest favorite! Rich and creamy, seasoned
with a trio of ground premium chilies, spices and a blend of Jack and Cheddar
cheeses. Comes with its own heat source “Tabasco Pepper Sauce” add as much as
you dare! Just add water or try including chicken, pork or shrimp for a hearty
meal. Don’t forget the tortilla chips – crumple, place inside the bowl and pour

RECIPE
Spinach Artichoke Dip – in a ring of salsa!
Ingredients:
2 – 8oz. Philly cream cheese, softened
¾ cup heavy cream
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
¼ tsp. garlic powder
1 bunch fresh spinach, chopped
OR 1-16oz. pkg. frozen cut leaf spinach, thawed & drained
1 - 13oz. can/jar quartered marinated artichoke hearts, drained & chopped
2/3 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 cup Tejano Salsa (click below to view product)

Plenty of tortilla chips or crackers
Preparation:
Using a hand-mixer, blend together cream cheese, cream. Garlic, Parmesan & Jack
cheeses until smooth and creamy. Fold in chopped spinach and artichokes. Place
mixture in oven-proof casserole dish. Bake @ 300 degrees for1hour. Remove from
oven, spoon 1 cup of salsa around the outer edge. Return to oven for another 15
minutes. Serve warm with crackers and tortilla chips. This is NOT low fat…but once in a while, we’re worth it!

A GLOSSARY OF MEXICAN FOOD INFORMATION
** BURRITOS – Burritos are made using large, warmed flour tortillas. They are
stuffed with guacamole, tomatoes, onions, beans, cheese and grilled marinated
beef, shredded chicken, pork or fish.
** CARNE ASADA – Carne Asada is made from skirt or flank steak, marinated in
lime and orange juice with oregano, salt and onions. It is grilled in strips
over a hot fire, then diced and served in either soft tacos or burritos with
sour cream, shredded cheese, refried beans, pico de gallo.
** CEVICHE – Ceviche is made from raw fish, marinated until cooked in lime
juice. It is combined with tomatoes, onions, chiles and spices and served with
chips or crackers as an appetizer.
** CHICHARRONES – Chicharrones are deep fried pork rinds. A favorite snack in
Mexico.
** FLAUTAS – Flautas are made from either corn or flour tortillas, filled with
shredded beef or chicken, rolled into a thin cylinder and deep fried and topped
with guacamole.
** MENUDO – Menudo is a robust, spicy soup that is supposed to cure hangovers!
Its key ingredients are tripe, hominy, onions and spices.
