All Natural 2004 Texas Pecans

This year's crop of pecans was harvested on 10.28.04. Allowing the pecans to dry for 5 days, they were then shelled and delivered to us by 11.08.04!

These Texas pecans are grown using only organic methods.  However, since the orchard is in the second year of a three-year transition from conventional agricultural practices to organic agricultural practices, the pecans are required to be labeled as “All Natural” until the 3-year cycle is complete  At the orchards of Rio Grande Organics, they do not use chemical fertilizer in the orchards nor spray chemical pesticides. There is no mistaking the flavor of these fresh, pure pecans.

These pecans are a mixture of Wichita, Cheyenne and Western pecans. There is no mistaking the freshness in every bite.
Every great baker should have these Texas pecans in their pantry....and extra for the baker's enjoyment!

Order includes: 2 pounds fresh Texas pecans halves, comes in freezer bag.

In August 1999, a permanently endowed Program for Pecans was established @ Texas A&M University, Dept. of Horticultural Sciences, as a lasting tribute to the state’s most important native horticultural crop. It would fulfill the dream of early pecan pioneers and a large number of growers who spent their lives laying the foundation for the development of the valuable renewable alluvial soil of the great rivers of Texas.
